Can you eat in the morning before dinner?

Gastroscopy is performed in the morning and the night before.

Gastroscopy is performed by inserting a slender tube into the stomach through the mouth to observe the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. Fasting for 7-8 hours before gastroscopy should be performed to facilitate the doctor to clearly and accurately determine whether there are local lesions. If gastroscopy is performed the next morning, normal eating can be performed the night before, but light and digestible liquid foods should be eaten as much as possible, and dinner should be finished before 10 p.m.

Patients should not eat or drink in the morning of gastroscopy, and usually resume eating about 2 hours after gastroscopy.
