Colitis is serious? Can it be cured?

Colitis is usually treatable. Most types of colitis are generally not serious.

There are many types of colitis. If it is inflammatory bowel disease, ischemic colitis, pseudomembranous colitis, infectious colitis, acute radiation colitis, it is usually not serious and can be cured after active treatment. If it is chronic radiation colitis, it is generally serious and difficult to cure. If it is inflammatory bowel disease, patients can be treated with aminosalicylic acids, immunosuppressants, biological agents, and glucocorticoids. Patients with infectious enteritis can be treated with sensitive antibiotics.
