Can slight gastric perforation heal itself?

Minor gastric perforation can be self-healing, but also need to be analyzed according to the actual situation.

If the patient is caused by excessive eating of gastric perforation, usually after fasting or eating less and more meals, gastric perforation can gradually self-heal. If it is caused by gastric ulcer, gastric perforation may also self-heal after gastric ulcer is cured or improved. However, if it is tumorous gastric perforation, it will generally not self-heal. As the tumor volume grows, the degree of perforation will become more and more serious, usually requiring surgical treatment such as subtotal gastrectomy or partial gastrectomy.
