What is pathological myopia, how to judge whether they are

Guiding you with care, every step of the way.
Pathological myopia is a retinal degeneration disease, generally occurs in people with high myopia.
Pathological myopia occurs in people with myopia degrees more than 600 degrees, which can lead to specific changes in the fundus, such as lengthening of the eye axis. Pathological myopia can cause vision loss, visual fatigue, and complications such as glaucoma and cataracts. To
determine whether you are pathological myopia, you can perform optometry, fundus examination, and gene determination.
1. Optometry is
tested with an optometry instrument to understand the aggregation of parallel light after entering the eyeball, calculate the degree of refraction, and determine the severity of myopia.
2. Fundus examination
can be performed with an ophthalmoscope after mydriasis to understand whether there is a lesion in the fundus.
3. Gene determination
detects whether there is a gene related to pathological myopia, and distinguishes it from simple high myopia.
