Normal visual acuity of 5-year-old children

Building a healthier future, together.
The normal visual acuity of 5-year-old children is generally between 0.6-0.8.
Because the eyeball is relatively small at birth, and the eye axis is relatively short, the visual acuity is in a state of refractive error, so there is no normal value. With the increase of age, the refractive state of the eyes gradually returns to normal. Under normal circumstances, the normal visual acuity of children aged 3-4 is between 0.4-0.5; the normal visual acuity of children aged 5-6 is between 0.6-0.8; and the normal visual acuity of children aged 7-8 is between 0.8-1.0. At the age of 13-14, vision is basically fully developed. At this time, vision is close to adult level and can reach 1.0.
In daily life, attention should be paid to maintaining good eye habits and keeping eye health.
