How long does mydriasis take to recover

Passionate about making a difference.
Mydriasis may take about 3~6 hours to recover, may also take about 3 weeks to recover, the specific time is related to the use of drugs.
At present, the drugs used for mydriasis include short-acting mydriasis drugs and long-acting mydriasis drugs. If short-acting mydriasis drugs are used, such as compound tropicamide eye drops, hydrobromic acid, etc., they can generally return to normal in about 3~6 hours. Short-acting mydriasis drugs are often used for fundus examination or rapid mydriasis of iridocyclitis and other diseases. However, if long-acting mydriatic drugs are used, such as atropine, it may take about 3 weeks to recover. Long-acting mydriatic drugs are mainly used for fundus examination and cycloplegia before optometry.
