Strabismus amblyopia refers to amblyopia caused by strabismus.

When the visual axis of both eyes is parallel, the fovea fixation of both eyes will be maintained to generate impulses, resulting in binocular visual function. However, it will be inhibited by the feedback of the visual center, actively inhibiting the visual impulse input from the strabismus eye macula, which will lead to amblyopia for a long time. Strabismus amblyopia patients can take masking therapy, afterimage therapy, red filter method, etc., fine vision training method, visual stimulation therapy, etc., which can stimulate the visual nerve excitation and improve vision.

If the patient's vision returns to normal, surgery can be taken to correct the symptoms of strabismus.
