What is duodenal stasis?

Your health, my priority.
Duodenal stasis may be caused by anatomical abnormalities, abdominal surgery or trauma, disease factors, etc.
1. Anatomical abnormalities
Duodenum is an organ connecting stomach and small intestine, surrounded by multiple ligaments and bone structures. If these structures are abnormal, it may compress duodenum, leading to obstruction and eventually causing duodenal stasis.
2. Abdominal surgery or traumatic
cesarean section, cholecystectomy, subtotal gastrectomy, etc. may lead to intestinal adhesion, which may lead to duodenal obstruction, resulting in content stasis.
3. Disease factors
Abdominal inflammation, abdominal tumors and other diseases may lead to extensive adhesion, which may lead to the occurrence of the above conditions.
