What are the symptoms of gastric perforation in different periods?

Stomach perforation is divided into perforation stage, reaction stage and peritonitis stage. The symptoms of each stage are as follows:

1. In the perforation stage,

severe pain in the upper abdomen and perforation site suddenly occurs. The pain is generally knife-cut and cauterized-like, and may gradually worsen.

2. The reaction stage

generally enters the reaction stage 1~5 hours after the perforation occurs. The abdominal pain is temporarily relieved, but there are still peritoneal stimulation signs.

3. Peritonitis stage

enters the peritonitis stage 8~12 hours after the perforation occurs. During this period, there may be systemic infection and poisoning symptoms, such as high fever, rapid pulse, etc., and there may be plate-like abdomen.
