Difference Between Stomach Pain and Liver Pain

Liver pain refers to pain in the liver area. Stomachache differs from liver pain in pain location, pain cause and pain nature.
1. Pain location
Stomachache generally occurs in the upper abdomen, the lower edge of the left rib; Liver pain generally occurs in the lower edge of the right rib or under the xiphoid process.
2. Pain causes
Stomachache is mainly related to acute gastritis, acute attack of gastric ulcer, gastric perforation, gastric bleeding, etc.; Liver pain is mainly related to bile duct stones, liver rupture, liver peritonitis, viral infection, etc.
3. Pain nature
If it is acute attack stomachache, the pain nature is mainly spasmodic pain, knife-like pain or burning pain; If it is chronic attack stomachache, the pain nature is generally dull pain, occasionally burning pain. The pain nature of liver pain is generally swelling pain, colic pain or burning pain.
