Type A gastritis and type B gastritis generally refer to type A atrophic gastritis and type B atrophic gastritis. The difference between the two mainly lies in different causes, different sites of incidence and different clinical manifestations. The details are as follows:
1. Different causes of
type A atrophic gastritis are mainly caused by autoimmune factors, while type B atrophic gastritis is mainly caused by Helicobacter pylori infection.
2. Different sites of
incidence of type A atrophic gastritis are mainly in the stomach body, while the incidence of type B atrophic gastritis is mainly in the gastric antrum.
3. Different clinical manifestations
Type A atrophic gastritis is often accompanied by megaloblastic anemia and vitamin B12 deficiency.
