Enteroscopy is generally suitable for the presence of unknown causes of hematochezia, diarrhea, abdominal pain and other conditions.

1. Hematochezia

If the patient has persistent hematochezia, such as mucinous hematochezia, melena, purulent hematochezia, etc., enteroscopy may be considered to determine whether there is intestinal mucosal lesions.

2. Diarrhea

If the patient has diarrhea for more than 2 weeks, the specific cause cannot be determined. Enteroscopy may also be performed.

3. Abdominal pain

If the patient has significant lower abdominal pain recently, and the specific cause cannot be determined through gastrointestinal examination, enteroscopy may be combined to help diagnose.
