Symptoms of Acute Colic in Adults

Empathy in care, excellence in medicine.
The symptoms of acute intestinal colic in adults include severe abdominal pain, abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting, etc.
1. Severe abdominal pain When
acute intestinal colic occurs, the intestinal tract may spasm or contract, resulting in increased muscle tension in the intestinal tract. This intestinal spasm can cause intense abdominal pain, sometimes paroxysmal pain.
2. Abdominal distension
Acute intestinal colic may lead to slowed or blocked intestinal motility, resulting in accumulation of gas in the intestinal tract. These gases accumulate in the intestinal lumen, causing abdominal distension and bloating.
3. Nausea and vomiting
Acute intestinal colic may stimulate nerve endings in the abdomen, causing nausea and vomiting reflex through nerve conduction.
