How to determine if it is a heart attack or stomach cramps

1. History and symptoms
Myocardial infarction
occurs mostly in middle-aged and elderly people, with a history of hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, chest pain, palpitations and other symptoms. Gastric cramps occur mostly in young people, with a history of dyspepsia, gastritis, gastric ulcer, manifested as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms.

Pain caused by myocardial infarction is usually located in the sternum or precordial area, can be stuffy pain or compression. And pain caused by gastric cramps is usually located in the upper abdomen or xiphoid process, can be paroxysmal pain or myocardial infarction.
3. Medical
examination can be diagnosed by ECG, myocardial enzymes and other examinations; gastric cramps can be diagnosed by gastroscopy, X-ray barium meal examination and laboratory examination.
