Gastroesophageal reflux is a common digestive system disease. TCM generally treats this disease through syndrome differentiation, including liver-stomach disharmony syndrome, spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome, stomach-yin deficiency syndrome, etc.
1. Liver-stomach disharmony
syndrome is mainly manifested as stomach pain, acid reflux, warm air and other symptoms. The treatment principle is to soothe the liver and stomach, and the commonly used prescriptions are Chaihu Shugan San, Pinellia officinalis Decoction, Orange Peel Bamboo Ru Decoction, etc.
2. Spleen and stomach
damp-heat syndrome includes heartburn, dry mouth, sticky mouth, etc. The treatment principle is to clear away heat and dampness, and stomach qi. The commonly used prescriptions are Sanren Decoction, Lianpu Yin, Bazheng San, etc.
3. Stomach-yin
deficiency syndrome is mainly characterized by heartburn, dry mouth and dry stool. The treatment principle is to nourish yin and stomach. The commonly used prescriptions are Shashen Decoction, Yiwei Decoction, Orange Peel Bamboo Ru Decoction, etc.
