Why is stomach still distended after quadruple therapy

Dedicated to your well-being.
After quadruple therapy, stomach or bloating may be caused by poor eating habits, adverse drug reactions, dyspepsia, etc.
1. Poor eating habits
If the patient does not pay attention to reasonable diet after treatment, food will accumulate too much in the stomach, ferment into gas, and appear bloating.
2. Adverse drug reactions
Because quadruple therapy includes proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole, pantoprazole, esomeprazole, and H2 receptor antagonists such as cimetidine, ranitidine, and famotidine, patients will inhibit gastric acid secretion when taking the above drugs according to medical advice, which will cause gastric digestion to be low, which is not conducive to food digestion, resulting in bloating.
3. Indigestion
If the patient suffers from dyspepsia, it will lead to slow gastrointestinal motility, which will prolong the retention time of food in the stomach, and stomach discomfort, such as bloating.
