What is atrophic gastritis 03?

Atrophic gastritis O3 is classified according to the scope of atrophy under endoscope. This phenomenon is generally caused by gastric acid decrease, Helicobacter pylori infection, duodeno-gastric reflux, etc. The analysis is as follows:

1. Gastric acid decrease

If gastric acid secretion decreases, it will lead to weakened protective effect of gastric mucosa, thus increasing the risk of gastric mucosa damage, which may lead to atrophy and inflammation of gastric mucosa. As the disease worsens, it will develop to O3 grade.

2. Helicobacter pylori infection

If the patient is infected with Helicobacter pylori, the gastric mucosa will be stimulated by inflammation, causing gastric mucosa damage and atrophy, causing atrophic gastritis. As the disease progresses, it will progress to O3 grade.

3. Duodeno-gastric reflux

If the patient has duodeno-gastric reflux, bile and pancreatic juice will flow from duodenum to stomach, stimulating gastric reflux, causing gastric mucosa damage, erosion and atrophy, thus developing to O3 grade.
