How to check esophageal reflux

Healing with compassion, caring with purpose.
Gastroesophageal reflux can be detected by esophageal pH test, X-ray examination, endoscopy and other methods.
1. Esophageal pH test
is a commonly used method for the diagnosis of esophageal reflux. This test is to measure the pH value in the esophagus within 24 hours by esophageal probe, so as to determine whether the patient has gastroesophageal reflux.
2. X-ray examination
Through oral contrast medium or rectal injection of contrast medium, X-ray imaging technology is used to observe the digestive organs such as esophagus, stomach, duodenum, etc., and esophageal mucosal damage and stricture caused by reflux esophagitis can be found.
3. Endoscopy is to
insert a soft endoscope into the mouth and penetrate the esophagus into the stomach to check the esophageal condition. If there is esophageal mucosal edema, ulcer, etc., it is considered to be caused by gastroesophageal reflux.
