What causes damp-heat in the liver meridian?

Damp-heat in liver meridian is also called damp-heat in liver and gallbladder, which is mostly caused by feeling damp-heat evil or partial preference for fat, sweet and greasy, dampness producing heat or weakness of spleen and stomach, essence of water and grain and abnormal water and dampness transportation in body, endogenous dampness evil, depression and heat transformation. Clinical manifestations are burning pain or lumps in the ribs, anorexia, abdominal distension, bitter taste and nausea, irregular stool, short red or dark yellow urine, red tongue, yellow and greasy fur, smooth pulse or alternating cold and heat, nausea and vomiting, inability to eat, or yellow eyes, or scrotal eczema, itching, or testicular swelling and hot pain, or yellow odor, vulva itching, or external ear eczema, furuncle sores, sudden deafness. The syndrome of damp-heat in liver meridian is characterized by swelling pain in right flank, anorexia, yellow urine, red tongue, yellow and greasy fur, and smooth pulse.
