What are the common fetal position abnormalities?

Restoring health, one step at a time.
Common fetal position abnormalities include breech position, transverse position, occipitoposterior position and occipitotransverse position in cephalic position. Breech position is a more common fetal position abnormality, which refers to the bottom of the fetus facing down, normal fetal position is cephalic position, and the fetus is facing down. If the baby's buttocks are down, there are certain risks of childbirth, including umbilical cord prolapse and difficult labor, especially when the baby's buttocks are delivered, the fetal head will not get stuck in the pelvis, sometimes even lead to neonatal asphyxia, breech position often requires cesarean section to terminate the pregnancy. Transverse position is generally rare, often into breech position during labor, if has been delivered in transverse position, generally exposed part is fetal arm, will lead to neglect of sexual transverse position, very dangerous, if not identified clearly, not timely cesarean section, often lead to fetal death in utero, even uterine rupture. Occipital transverse position and occipital posterior position in the cephalic position are abnormal fetal positions in the cephalic position, normal fetal position is occipital anterior position, occipital transverse position, occipital posterior position when the fetal head through the pelvic diameter line elongated, easy to lead to dystocia, sometimes need forceps or fetal suction to assist delivery, even transfer to cesarean section.
