What is Hysteroscopic Resection?

Hysteroscopic electrotomy is a minimally invasive surgery commonly seen in gynecology. It is a targeted resection of abnormal or diseased tissues in the uterus by using hysteroscopic dilation system, optical fiber and electrotomy ring. Compared with traditional surgery, it has the advantages of no laparotomy, no incision in the uterus, less damage, shorter operation time, faster postoperative recovery, significantly reduced probability of cesarean section in the future and good prognosis. However, there are certain hazards, such as cervical laceration, intestinal injury and infection, etc. Hysteroscopic electroresection includes cervical, endometrial resection, hysteroscopic myomectomy, hysteroscopic endometrial polypectomy, hysteroscopic hysterectomy, hysteroscopic cervical adhesiectomy and hysteroscopic adhesiectomy.
