Neonatal ventricular septal defect is caused by incomplete development of the septum in the left and right ventricles of the heart. It is a congenital heart disease. If the child has no obvious symptoms, and the defect range is within 0.5 mm, most of them will close by themselves and do not need immediate surgery. If there are other malformations, consider timely surgery.
