Vulvar herpes is not serious

Genital herpes can be transmitted sexually. If pregnant, genital herpes can also infect the fetus and newborn, so once diagnosed, genital herpes should be treated because of its severity. At this stage, treatment for genital herpes includes antiviral therapy, as long as oral medication is the main one. Topical use of antiviral therapy is not recommended at this stage because of poor effect and easy induction of drug resistance.
