Treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosis

Your health, my mission. Your recovery, my joy.
The drugs of choice for SLE patients are based on the patient's symptoms and affected organs. For mild lupus patients, such as those with skin and mucosal lesions, the drugs of choice include NSAIDs and hydroxychloroquine. NSAIDs can relieve joint symptoms, while hydroxychloroquine can relieve skin and mucosal conditions. For patients with lupus complicated with important organ involvement, the first choice of treatment drug is glucocorticoid, according to the patient's affected organs and severity, different doses and methods of use can be selected. Normal is oral prednisone, according to each kilogram of body weight, one mg per day oral. For patients with mild disease activity, half the amount of hormone can be used, that is, 0.5 mg per kilogram of body weight per day. In addition to glucocorticoids, patients with kidney disease also need to be treated with immunosuppressants such as cyclophosphamide and mycophenolate mofetil.
