Foot gout can not drink black tea, mainly because black tea contains too much sugar, and eating too sweet food, may induce gout joint attack. For gout joint patients, diet must be strict low purine diet, eat less animal viscera, big fat meat and other foods, but also eat less sweets. For acute attacks of gouty arthritis, patients may be treated with nonsteroidal painkillers or colchicine for anti-inflammatory pain. After pain relief for two weeks, uric acid lowering therapy should be continued. Common uric acid lowering drugs include febuxostat, benzemarone, and allopurinol. Changes in serum acid levels must be closely monitored during the use of these drugs.
