Sequela of cervical cancer lymphadenectomy

Building a healthier future together.
Cervical cancer is the most common type of malignant tumor in the female reproductive system. Surgery is a commonly used treatment for cervical cancer. Surgery often involves pelvic and abdominal lymph node dissection. The most common complications after pelvic and abdominal lymph node dissection are lymph retention cysts. However, if the lymph retention cyst is larger than 5 cm, the patient may show obvious symptoms, such as dull pain and discomfort in the lower abdomen, accompanied by edema in the ipsilateral lower limbs, or symptoms of pain in the lower limbs, affecting the patient's quality of life. If infection occurs, symptomatic treatment is also required. Pelvic lymphocele is often associated with the risk of venous thrombosis. Therefore, for women with pelvic lymphocele, it is recommended to review the color Doppler ultrasound of both lower limbs. If there is thrombus, timely treatment is recommended.
