What are the basic pathological features of viral hepatitis?

Empathy in every care, excellence in every treatment.
The basic pathological features of viral hepatitis include liver interstitial lesions, liver parenchyma degeneration and necrosis, etc.
1. Liver interstitial lesions
After viral hepatitis, monocytes, lymphocytes and plasma cells in liver tissue can be infiltrated, and Kupffer cells in liver sinuses are more active, which can then promote the formation, proliferation and fibrosis of liver interstitial spaces.
2. Liver parenchyma degeneration and necrosis
After infection with virus, liver cells can cause degeneration and necrosis. Due to different types of infected virus, liver cells present different characteristics, including balloon-like degeneration, flaky or punctate necrosis, eosinophilic degeneration, etc.
