Otitis media can cause tinnitus. Patients with otitis media may experience ear tightness, tinnitus, headache, etc. If left untreated, there may be perforation of the eardrum. When the eardrum perforation occurs, the patient suddenly feels a sharp pain, which will gradually ease, and there may be bloody secretions flowing out of the ear canal.
