How long should chickenpox be isolated?

Chickenpox is caused by varicella zoster virus infection. During the infection period, it can be transmitted by respiratory droplets and needs isolation treatment, usually from one week to two weeks. Chickenpox is self-limiting. Antiviral drugs are used during this period, and contact items need to be disinfected.
