How often do HPV and TCT tests occur?

Guiding you towards wellness.
In general, cervical HPV test and TCT test are performed every 1-2 years. If there is no abnormality in the first test, the interval can be extended accordingly. If the test results are abnormal, it cannot be performed at such intervals. If TCT test finds atypical squamous cells, and/or cervical HPV test finds high-risk virus infection, especially type 16 and type 18 positive, a subsequent colposcopic cervical biopsy should be performed at this time. If there is no problem with cervical biopsy, the interval between HPV and TCT should be shortened, preferably after six months. If there is a problem with colposcopy, a subsequent cervical conization should be performed, so the interval between HPV and TCT should be determined on a case-by-case basis.
