What is a bleeding tongue?

Bleeding of the tongue may be caused by high blood pressure and rupture of peripheral blood vessels, or by hemangioma of the tongue and prolonged use of anticoagulant drugs. If caused by high blood pressure, use antihypertensive drugs as prescribed; if caused by hemangioma, surgical resection may be performed.
