CT, especially high-resolution CT, has a high value in judging the type and scope of lesions. CT manifestations of allergic pneumonia include ground-glass changes in both lungs in acute stage, extensive patchy, patchy and cloudy pulmonary consolidation in both lungs, blurred edges, uneven density and distribution, more common in middle and lower pneumonia, large changes in the location of lesions in a short period of time, and migration. CT findings of subacute allergic pneumonia include diffuse centrilobular nodules, ill-defined margins, patchy ground-glass opacity, gas entrapment and cystic lung changes. The pathological basis of imaging findings of subacute allergic pneumonia, centrilobular nodules are the manifestations of cellular bronchiolitis, ground slides are the manifestations of chronic lymphocytic interstitial pneumonia, gas trap sign and pulmonary cystic changes are the results of bronchiolitis obstruction, centrilobular nodules and ground glass changes are the characteristic changes of allergic pneumonia, centrilobular nodules are the characteristic changes of subacute allergic pneumonia. Ct findings of chronic allergic pneumonia can be seen in grid-like, honeycomb-like, fibrous strip-like shadow, interstitial ocular fibrosis changes, even can be seen atelectasis, emphysema and pleural thickening and other signs.
