What does double lung infection mean?

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
Double lower lung infection is an imaging concept that refers to exudative lesions in both lower lungs on chest radiographs or chest CT scans. This condition is more common in patients with pneumonia, but there are other diseases that need to be identified besides pneumonia. For example, tuberculosis can also cause lesions in both lower lungs similar to double lower lung infection. For example, cryptogenic organized pneumonia can also show double lower lung infection, and sometimes it is necessary to check for connective tissue disease or pulmonary changes secondary to vasculitis and pneumonic lung cancer. The so-called pneumonic lung cancer is a special manifestation of lung cancer. This lung cancer is similar to pneumonia on chest X-ray or chest CT, but it is actually caused by lung cancer. Anti-infection treatment is also ineffective.
