What does it mean to increase the number of lungs?

Restoring hope, restoring health.
Increased lung markings refer to the increase of bronchovascin in imaging. Lung markings refer to the linear shadows distributed radially from the hilum of the lungs to the periphery. These linear shadows are composed of bronchi and accompanying blood vessels. They are also called bronchial vascular bundles. Increased lung markings may be seen in many diseases, among which bronchial inflammation is the most common cause of increased lung markings. There are also other causes of increased lung markings, such as interstitial pulmonary edema due to cardiac insufficiency, which may cause increased lung markings. Even healthy adults may report increased lung markings on chest X-rays, but they are often normal on chest CT scans.
