Double lung texture enhancement is a disease

Restoring health, restoring hope.
Lung markings may be the manifestation of disease. Lung markings are commonly used in radiology. They refer to dendritic shadows that radiate outward from the hilum of the lung in the lobes filled with gas. They are called lung markings. They are radial strip-shaped shadows extending from the hilum of the lung to the periphery of the lung field. With the gradual branching, the markings gradually become thinner. Lung markings are mainly composed of pulmonary arteries and pulmonary veins. Bronchi and lymphatic vessels also participate in the composition of lung markings. In pathological changes, pulmonary veins, bronchi and lymphatic vessels are more important than normal in forming lung markings, so lung markings enhancement can be roughly divided into three types from the morphological point of view: the first type, thick lung markings, clear edges, enhanced lung markings that maintain the characteristics of vascular orientation from hilum to lung field, mostly seen in rheumatic heart disease, atrioventricular septal defect, patent ductus arteriosus, heart failure, etc. The second type, fine lung texture, less branches, clear edges, which mixed with deformation of lung texture and honeycomb image of lung texture enhancement, more common in chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, etc. The third type, lung field was reticular lung texture enhancement, seen in miliary tuberculosis, pneumoconiosis, carcinomatous lymphangitis, etc.
