What is the increase in lung texture?

Pulmonary texture is normally defined as an increase in bronchial vascular bundles, which may occur in a variety of conditions, with acute bronchitis being the most common cause. It may also occur in other diseases, such as patients with cardiac insufficiency, which may also cause pulmonary texture in some cases. Even pneumonia, bronchiectasis and related diseases can sometimes report increased lung texture on chest X-ray, but on chest CT, there are often corresponding manifestations. For example, patients with pneumonia may show patchy shadows, and patients with bronchiectasis may show typical manifestations such as double track sign and signet ring sign.
