Different types of symptoms require different types of examinations. If the patient has only cough, expectoration, fever, chest pain and other manifestations, we generally perform full-chest radiographs, lung ct examinations, and lung magnetic resonance examinations when necessary. If the patient has cough, expectoration, hemoptysis, and chest pain, we can also perform sputum examinations in addition to the above examinations, including sputum bacterial culture, sputum fungal culture, drug sensitivity, and sputum tuberculosis. If the patient has wheezing symptoms in addition to cough, expectoration, hemoptysis, chest pain, and severe respiratory difficulties, we can do pulmonary function tests, pulmonary capillary wedge pressure tests to determine the patient's pulmonary function, bronchodilation, and whether there is bronchial asthma or chronic asthmatic bronchitis. If the patient has cough, expectoration, hemoptysis, chest pain, or misinhalation, we can also do bronchoscopy, which looks directly at the bronchi of the lungs. For obvious lesions, we can also do bronchoscopic surgery.
