What is oral herpes simplex?

Oral herpes simplex is caused by herpes virus infection. It may be self-carried or transmitted by others, but it is not very serious. For children, it mainly presents as red gums, mouth ulcers, pain, can be relieved with some antiviral drugs or sprays. For older children or adults, it mainly presents as a blister or cluster around the lip, which can recover without treatment.
