How to use oral thermometer

Healing hearts, one patient at a time.
First of all, put down the part of the thermometer that detects body temperature under the tongue next to the tendon connecting the back of the mouth and the back of the tongue. The two sides of the tongue pouch under the tongue are the correct positions for measuring body temperature in the mouth. Close the mouth after putting the thermometer in. Close the mouth before the temperature in the mouth reaches the equilibrium temperature. Do not bite with your teeth. Do not speak. Take it out after three minutes to reach the equilibrium temperature. Mercury thermometers and tongue thermometers take more than five minutes, and predictive thermometers wait until the electronic sound. Warm tips: it is not appropriate to take your temperature immediately after a meal, after a bath or exercise, and within 30 minutes of going out. Do not move when taking your temperature with an oral thermometer. Try to maintain a posture during the measurement. If you pull out the oral thermometer midway, you need to take it again. Pay attention to personal oral hygiene at ordinary times and develop good personal oral hygiene habits. If the patient accidentally bites the thermometer, remove glass debris immediately to prevent damage to the mucosa of the tongue, mouth, esophagus and gastrointestinal tract. Oral milk or egg white can delay the absorption of mercury. If the condition allows, take a large amount of coarse fiber food to speed up the excretion of mercury.
