The normal value of serum amylase is 220U/L, and the normal value of urine amylase is 1200U/L. The increase of amylase can be related to pancreatic injury, pancreatic abscess, intestinal obstruction, peritonitis, biliary tract disease and appendicitis. The decrease of amylase may be related to liver cirrhosis, hepatitis, liver cancer and acute and chronic cholecystitis.
