Dentures stomatitis is also known as denture stomatitis. It is caused by candida infection. It is a subtype of oral candidiasis. After patients suffer from denture stomatitis, they will complain that the oral mucosa will show burning pain, burning sensation and even abnormal taste. If we do clinical examination here by our doctor, we can see obvious redness of the mucosa in contact with denture and obvious boundary on the mucosa without denture contact. However, this part of the mucosa that is red is very bright. On the surface, you can see this kind of membrane with patches or strip-like, white patches of this kind of membrane, our membrane can be wiped off, and in laboratory culture, you can find hyphae and spores.
