Acute periapical periodontitis if developed into acute submucosal abscess, then the buccal or lingual gums of the corresponding affected teeth will show obvious swelling, and there is a sense of undulation, and even very obvious facial or buccal space infection, showing swelling, there may be skin temperature rise, even lymph node swelling, systemic infection symptoms. If chronic periapical periodontitis, it may show recurrent fistulas, that is, pustules on the gums. If this pustule is self-punctured, it may be temporarily eliminated, but it is easy to recur.
