Where is the pacemaker of the heart

Empowering lives through health.
The normal pacemaker of the heart is the sinoatrial node.
The sinoatrial node is located in the upper part of the right atrium. It is about 15mm in length, 5mm in width and 2mm in thickness. It contains many automatic rhythmic cells that can generate and conduct nerve impulses. After the impulses are generated, they can be transmitted to all parts of the heart by the cardiac conduction system, thus enabling the cardiac muscle to contract and expand rhythmically. When the rhythm changes, if the pacemaker is still sinus node, it is called sinus arrhythmia. If the pacemaker is not in the sinus node, it can be divided into ventricular arrhythmia, atrial arrhythmia, atrioventricular junction arrhythmia, etc. According to the location of the pacemaker,
congenital heart disease, coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, rheumatic heart disease and other diseases can lead to changes in cardiac pacemaker.
