Left adrenal adenoma may mean

Adrenal gland is a very important endocrine organ of urinary system. Adrenal gland is located above kidney. Adrenal adenoma on left side usually refers to benign tumor of adrenal gland. Adenoma can be divided into functional adenoma and non-functional adenoma according to function. Functional adrenal adenoma can normally secrete cortisol or aldosterone, thus affecting human metabolism. For adrenal adenoma, it can be diagnosed by plain or enhanced CT scan of adrenal gland. Adrenal adenomas are treated by laparoscopic adrenalectomy. Surgery to remove the adenoma can relieve a range of clinical symptoms caused by endocrine disorders. Because adrenal adenomas rarely become malignant, there is no need to worry too much. Most are benign tumors, but adenomas larger than 4 - 5 cm should be highly valued. Regular follow-up should be taken.
