Angina is a clinical syndrome caused by coronary artery insufficiency, rapid myocardial ischemia and hypoxia. If the patient is not seriously ill, the symptoms of angina are usually mild and the pain is mostly confined to the precordial area, which does not cause pain in the throat and trachea. However, if the disease is severe and the symptoms of angina are severe, the pain may radiate to the throat and trachea, the back of the sternum, shoulders and back.
If angina has persistent chest pain, accompanied by sweating and feeling of dying, it is considered that there may be myocardial infarction. It is recommended to seek medical attention immediately.
