How long does the hallux valgus orthosis last?

Hallux valgus is a common disease in clinic. Most of the causes are caused by genetic factors, and a few patients are secondary. After hallux valgus occurs, patients need to wear orthotics for fixation. There is no uniform and clear time for specific wear. Because according to different treatment methods for hallux valgus, wearing time is also different. If the patient has hallux valgus, take conservative treatment, wear hallux valgus orthosis for fixation, generally fixed for about 3-4 months. If the patient has hallux valgus for surgical treatment, conventional incision under local anesthesia, toe wedge osteotomy, generally wear postoperative time is about 4-5 weeks.
