What is the position of the scapula?

The scapula is an important anatomical structure of the upper limbs and shoulder joints. It is located on the dorsal side of the upper chest, between the second and seventh ribs, and is symmetrical on both sides. The scapula is composed of anatomical structures such as scapular spine, supraspinous fossa, infraspinous fossa, scapula, and acromion. Among them, the scapula and the humerus head at the upper end of the humerus constitute the joint with the greatest mobility of our human body-the shoulder joint, so the scapula is an important structure of the shoulder joint. Common diseases around the scapula, including local muscle and soft tissue strain and fracture after scapula trauma, most of which can be relieved by conservative treatment with oral or topical drugs. Fracture with obvious displacement or glenoid involvement is recommended for surgical treatment.
