How to maintain effective bone traction in patients

Restoring balance, one patient at a time.
Bone traction is a simple but practical treatment for fractures. It can effectively maintain the stability of fracture ends, prevent re-injury, and prevent vascular and nerve damage. When bone traction is performed, the position of bone traction must be correct and cannot penetrate soft tissue. Otherwise, it is easy to cause soft tissue damage during traction. When bone traction is performed, the traction force must be moderate, not too large, otherwise it may cause separation and displacement of the fracture end. If it is too small, the traction effect cannot be achieved, and the fracture end may show wrong movement, causing pain. During traction, it should also include active rehabilitation function exercise of limbs to prevent deep vein thrombosis. At the same time, the part of bone traction should be kept locally clean and dry, dressing change should be strengthened to prevent contact with water and prevent infectious diseases.
