Homocysteine
is a sulfur-containing amino acid, which is converted from methionine and mainly obtained from food. Although the normal value of homocysteine is set at 5-15μmol/L clinically, elevated homocysteine levels are generally used as auxiliary diagnosis of diseases, such as coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, etc. Low homocysteine has no clinical significance, theoretically the lower the better, so low homocysteine belongs to a normal phenomenon, and there are no related abnormal factors.
