Is homocysteine more than 10 easy to get cancer?

There is no clinical statement that homocysteine above 10μmol/L is prone to cancer. The

normal range of homocysteine is 5-15μmol/L. Although homocysteine exceeds 10μmol/L, it does not exceed the normal value, and even if homocysteine exceeds 15μmol/L, it does not mean that the patient has an increased risk of cancer. Because cancer is caused by malignant proliferation of cells, there is no direct relationship between homocysteine and high homocysteine. However, it should be noted that cancer may lead to abnormal function of various organs in the body, affecting homocysteine metabolism and causing homocysteine elevation.

Therefore, patients with homocysteine exceeding 15μmol/L should be combined with other examinations to clarify the cause, such as physical examination, tumor marker examination, blood routine, etc.
